Instructor: Diana Williams

Diana Williams is the digital editor and strategist for BackStory, an American history podcast and founded Williams Multimedia, a production. She creates,curates and edits content for all of BackStory’s digital platforms and communicates news and information about and for the show to all interested stakeholders including listeners, donors and external media.

Diana has more than seven years of experience in higher education communications. During her tenure as the manager of University of Virginia’s Twitter, the account was named one of the “Top 100 most influential UK and US universities on Twitter” by Times Higher Education in 2014.

Williams was most recently with University of Virginia's Office of Communications. She brings more than five years of experience in higher education communications with a keen interest in digital presence management to her role. She is a new media professional with an MA in journalism and public affairs from American University.
