Matern Staffing is hiring a Sales Associate for a nonprofit store in Louisa, VA. As a Sales Associate, you’ll focus on front-of-store duties like customer service and merchandising. Your role will be critical in ensuring our store runs smoothly and that our customers have a positive shopping experience.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organization and problem-solving skills, a passion for customer service, and ensuring the store's inventory is properly stocked. If you are a results-driven individual with a proven track record in retail, we encourage you to apply and join the team. This is a contract-to-hire position with 40 hours/week.

Salary & Benefits: 

• $14/hr
• Enjoy a 20% discount at other store locations

Schedule: 

• Store hours are Mon thru Sat: 10am-8pm & Sundays: 11am-6pm
• May include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with occasional overtime

What You’ll Do:  

• Greet customers warmly and answer any questions they have
• Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and visually appealing
• Receive, unpack, and organize inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels
• Replenish shelves and displays, ensuring products are properly stocked and labeled
• Follow company policies and procedures to enforce company’s mission and maintain a safe work environment

What You’ll Need:   

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail or customer service experience
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with a track record of proactive problem resolution
• Calmly and efficiently adapts, sees the potential for opportunity when challenges present themselves
• Friendly & positive personality for engaging with customers and driving excellent customer service
• Strong communication and leadership skills for interacting with and developing employees
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds
