The QuadTank Pitch Competition offers a unique way for your local business to secure funding. Part of the QuadCounty Business Summit, the QuadTank Pitch Competition is entering its third year. The winning individual or team this year will be awarded a $5,250 cash prize to support implementation of their business plans. At the end of the QuadCounty Business Summit, the winner will be chosen by a panel of judges.
Previous winners were based in Orange County (JB Cakes) and Fluvanna County (Reliable Rides). Will a business from another county– Greene, Louisa, or Madison– take this year's prize?

QuadTank Pitch Prep
September 10 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Rebecca Haydock, Director of the Central Virginia SBDC, will walk you through the secrets to a winning pitch. We will discuss how to make the most of your ten minutes before the judges with plenty of time for Q & A. Individual meetings can be scheduled after the session.
This event will be recorded and the video made available for anyone unable to attend on September 10 who would still like to participate in the QuadTank Pitch Competition. Please contact Shira at events@cvsbdc.org if you would like the recording of the Pitch Prep event.
• Participating individuals or teams submit a business plan or pitch deck no later than Monday, October 11th at noon to QuadTank@cvsbdc.org
• Participants will be notified if there are more than 4 qualified entries. If notified, there will be a Pre-qualification Pitch round on Oct 13th and Oct 14th (pitch times will be offered in 15 min increments beginning 9am). Pitches will be virtual, via Zoom. If online connectivity is an issue, Zoom may be accessed by mobile device or we can provide a location in your county for you to make your pitch.
• Semi-finalists (up to 4) will be invited to present in person at QuadTank on Wednesday, October 20th.
FORMAT:
Participants will be allotted a maximum of ten (10) minutes to pitch their idea or concept and five (5) minutes for Q & A with the judges.
Participants may use PowerPoint, Canva, GoogleSlides
or other visual aids, or props during their pitch. Pitch visuals should be submitted to QuadTank@cvsbdc.org 48 hours prior to presentation, as a backup, in case there are issues with technology
