The classic children’s story is brought to life by the Barter Players. Join The Barter Theater for a whimsical journey down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland, adapted by Catherine Bush. When young Alice follows the White Rabbit, she enters a fantastical world filled with curious characters like the Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, and Queen of Hearts. This imaginative one-act play celebrates the power of storytelling and creativity, making it an enchanting experience for audiences of all ages. With vibrant performances and captivating visuals, Alice in Wonderland promises an unforgettable adventure that brings Lewis Carroll’s classic tale to life. 

For more than 20 years, the Louisa Rotary Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity focused on improving educational opportunities available to Louisa County’s youth, has coordinated performances by the famed Barter Players for the enjoyment of area students and residents. Over the last several years, the Louisa Arts Center has hosted the evening reception and performance, as well as marketed and promoted this event. This community-centered partnership is a testament to the organizations’ commitments to area youth and arts education. This year, Alice in Wonderland will be performed to more than a thousand Louisa County Public School students! Join us as we support live theater in our community.
