Hanover Book Festival Featuring Local Authors

The 16th Hanover Book Expo will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024. Fifty local authors will have books available, including Louisa Chamber of Commerce member Katherine Mercurio Gotthardt of ATW - All Things Writing, LLC and founder of the Write In Louisa writers group sponsored by the Louisa Arts Center. Published independently and through small-presses, Gotthardt is the author of 13 books, including a Silver Award winner from the Nonfiction Authors Association, an Amazon bestselling children's book, a first-place poetry award winner from The BookFest, and a Library of Virginia Literary Awards nominated poetry collection. Her newest book, The World Has Changed From When I Last Was Here, was released for pre-order in October, 2024. Other notable Louisa County authors will include Denise L. Peters, Bob Denny and Dr. Essie Knuckle. The event will feature presentations from Retired U.S. Army Major General Mari K. Elder, renowned speaker and a thought leader on strategic communication and leadership; Michelle Davis, freelance editor, indexer and proofreader; and Bishop O’Connell, consultant, writer and blogger.
