Info Session: Small Business Circles

Monday, October 21, 2024 (8:30 AM - 9:30 AM) (EDT)

Description

In partnership with the Community Investment Collaborative (CIC) and the Central Virginia Small Business Development Center (CVSBDC, hosted by CIC), we’re organizing small business Circles, specifically designed for key sectors such as Food and Beverage Manufacturing, Light Manufacturing, Information Technology & Communications, and Financial & Business Services. The goal of these Circles is to create a confidential, supportive space where small business leaders can come together to tackle real-time challenges using their collective experience. We’re envisioning small, tight-knit groups of 5-8 peers who meet consistently throughout the year. The format will be flexible to the group’s needs, but the foundation will include confidentiality, engagement, and consistent participation, creating a setting where real problems can be solved by those who truly understand the issues. To get started and find out who’s interested, we’re holding an informational meeting on October 21st, from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Louisa Chamber office. CIC will be there to share more details about how these small business circles work, and we’ll discuss the support that will be provided to help these circles thrive and support you, the rural business leader. We’ll officially launch the circles in January 2025, but this meeting will be a great way to learn more and determine how this initiative can work best for our community.
