Serenity Farm Equine Sanctuary (Serenity Farm) is once again hosting its annual fundraising event called Serenity Day. The theme for this year’s event is Touched by a Horse. The focus of the day will be on the many equines being nurtured and cared for on the farm.
About Serenity Farm Equine Sanctuary: The mission of Serenity Farm is to prevent neglect, abuse, or abandonment of equines and provide a loving and nurturing environment while rehabilitating them to overcome their trauma. Serenity Farm gives purpose to the lives of neglected or abused equine through interactions with humans, including emotionally or physically challenged individuals. Serenity Farm educates the public on the beauty and value of rescued horses. Serenity Farm is accredited with the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries.
Serenity Day: All interested parties are welcome. The day’s activities will run from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Activities include equine demonstrations, hayrides, cake walk, art activities, games, raffles, and fun. Visit with fainting goats, horses, donkeys, ponies, and a mule. Several vendors will also be onsite. There is no entrance fee. Donations are welcome. Tickets will be sold for participation in some of the activities such as the cake walk, hayride, and raffle. A schedule of events will be available for all attendees.
Food: Freshy Grilled Hamburgers and Hot Dogs will be available for sale along with delectable bake sale items for dessert.
Alcohol Policy: No alcohol is permitted on the property per ABC law.
Pet Policy: Animals are allowed on the premises and must be kept on a leash.
Rain Policy: Rain cancellation. Serenity Farm will make the announcement via our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/serenityfarmequinesanctuary) and website (serenity.horse) If a rain cancellation occurs, the rain date is October 29.
