We’re firing things up this March and inviting you to spend your Sunday afternoon with us at Cooling Pond Brewery for the Shuckin’ Shindig: Ides of March Oyster Roast — a laid-back, social gathering built around great beer, open flames, and fresh oysters.

At Cooling Pond Brewery, we’re all about creating a place where people can come together, enjoy approachable craft beer, and linger a little longer. The Shuckin’ Shindig brings that spirit to life with a hands-on oyster roast you cook yourself over the fire, paired with sides, craft beer specials, and the kind of easy conversation that happens naturally in our outdoor space.

Whether you’re meeting friends, bringing coworkers, or just looking for a reason to get out and enjoy the afternoon, this is a Sunday event that balances energy and ease — festive, social, and distinctly Louisa.

What to Expect

• Tools and shucking knives provided — just bring your appetite
• Craft beer specials from Cooling Pond Brewery
• Barboursville wine, Son of a Bear cider, and nonalcoholic options at the bar
• Sides and non-oyster alternatives so everyone can dig in
• Advance purchase highly recommended — a limited number of tickets may be available at the door

Ticket Information

• $30 – One dozen oysters plus sides
• $10 – Each additional dozen oysters

Come for one dozen or stay for more — we’ll keep the fire going.
