Mark your calendar for Castle Hill Cider's 2022 Wassail celebration! Did you know? Wassail parties originated centuries ago in England to awaken the apple trees and wish them a healthy growing season ahead. Plan to join us on January 9th as we continue the tradition with cider and merriment! Schedule of events: All Day For every glass or bottle of cider purchased, you may enter your name into the drawing to be King or Queen of Wassail. Write a blessing for the apple trees and send your good wishes for a healthy growing season. 12-4pm Bluebird Books will be onsite with their mobile book trailer and reading nook for the kiddos. 3pm Create your Wassail headdress. 3:30pm Crown the King and Queen of Wassail. 4pm Processional to the Wassail Tree; Blessing of the Wassail Tree and Recessional. Until 7pm Continued cider, light bites, and merriment! In addition to Castle Hill Cider, enjoy the following beverage options: Mulled Cider Non-alcoholic Mulled Cider Hot Chocolate San Pellegrino Apple Juice Wassail event entry is free of charge! This is a family-friendly, rain-or-shine event, so be sure to dress appropriately. Please bring the kids and pups for a fun winter evening of Wassail at Castle Hill.
