Leadership Louisa brings together people who live or work in Louisa County to strengthen their leadership skills, build lasting connections, and better understand the community they serve. Across six monthly sessions, the Class of 2027 will learn from one another, explore practical ways to lead, and put those skills to work through a Community Action Project.

• Getting involved in Louisa and eager to understand and strengthen your community.
• Leading through influence bringing people together and making things happen, whether or not you have a leadership title.

You’ll learn alongside people from different organizations and backgrounds, build relationships that extend beyond the classroom, and have opportunities to stay involved through the Leadership Louisa Alumni Network after graduation.

Eligibility and Commitment

To be considered for the Class of 2027, applicants must:

• Live or work in Louisa County.
• Have at least one year of continuous employment with their current employer.
• Be able to attend the six workshops from January through June 2027. Only one excused absence is permitted under exceptional circumstances.
• Be willing to complete fieldwork outside class hours as part of a Community Action Project.

How to Apply

Step 1: Register here and pay the $25 application fee. The fee is nonrefundable and does not guarantee acceptance.

Step 2: Complete the full application and submit a letter of recommendation. Your registration confirmation will include the application link. Both steps are required to be considered for the Class of 2027.

Class of 2027 Schedule

Workshop sessions are planned for 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. at locations across Louisa County. The December Meet & Greet is an evening gathering.
