Description

Here’s the BEEF! (formerly Angry Angus Cookoff) 

Up to four (4) chefs compete with locally raised and pastured beef from Green Acres Farm.

This unique farm-to-table competitive experience will be the highlight of a festival afternoon filled with music, fun, and all things homegrown, homemade and handcrafted in Louisa County.  

General admission is free! Food tasting tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the Gate. Attendees will have tasting size portions from each Chef and will cast their vote for the PEOPLE'S CHOICE.  Kids under 12 who REGISTER IN ADVANCE will receive FREE food tasting tickets.  Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase onsite.

Music ALL DAY: Lacey, Shelby Lynn, and BIG ROB and ETC  

Meet the Chef's:

Melody Bowers:  Owner & Chef, Tavern on the Rail 

Gregory Brannock:  Executive Chef, Spring Creek Golf Club 

Paul Chirico: Executive Chef & B, Bluegreen Vacations Corporation/Shenandoah Crossing Resort

Schedule:  Coyote Hole Ciderworks is open from 12pm-9pm, Gates open 2 pm with food tasting/voting 3 pm - 5 pm, Awards 6 pm

Chairs & blankets are encouraged.  No coolers or outside food/beverage allowed.

Pricing

General admission is FREE.   You will NOT have access to food tasting unless you purchase a ticket. ($15 in advance, $20 at gate)

$15 food tasting ticket allows a sample from all four Chef's, one time.  You are requested to cast your vote for the TOP CHEF.  

Kids under 12 REGISTERED IN ADVANCE will receive a food tasting ticket which allows a sample from all four Chef's, one time.  You are requested to cast your vote for the TOP CHEF.  

Additional food and beverage are available for purchase onsite.  No refunds or exchanges.  Rain or shine event.
