About Us
The Fluvanna-Louisa Housing Foundation (FLHF) is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping low-income residents of Louisa and Fluvanna Counties live in safe, affordable, and accessible housing. We operate several community-based programs, including:
· Essential Home Repairs Program – Provides grant-funded assistance to low-income homeowners for critical home repairs.
· Accessibility Ramp Program – Installs aluminum handicap ramps for residents with mobility needs.
· Affordable Rental Program – Manages foundation-owned rental properties, offering safe housing with rent based on household income.

Position Summary
This full-time, salaried position is responsible for coordinating and managing housing programs within Louisa County, including home repair grants, accessibility ramps, and foundation-owned rental properties. The Coordinator works directly with clients, contractors, volunteers, and community partners to ensure program success and quality service delivery.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of our rural service area and a strong desire to serve the local community with professionalism, empathy, and integrity. Property Management and construction experience are a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities
Essential Home Repairs Program
· Manage day-to-day operations of the Essential Home Repairs Program
· Work directly with low-income homeowners to assess needs and determine eligibility
· Conduct site visits and document property conditions
· Coordinate contractors and monitor repair progress
· Prepare, submit, and maintain grant documentation and compliance records
· Ensure projects are completed according to scope and quality standards
Accessibility Ramp Program
· Coordinate installation and removal of aluminum handicap ramps
· Schedule and conduct site assessments
· Organize volunteers and oversee ramp installations
· Maintain ramp inventory and oversee coordination of grant funding specifically designated for ramp inventory procurement and tracking
· Maintain accurate program and funding records
Affordable Rental Program / Property Management
· Assist with management of foundation-owned rental properties throughout Louisa County, with additional units under development
· Coordinate maintenance and repair needs across multiple locations
· Work with tenants regarding rent calculations based on income
· Guide applicants through the rental application process
· Frequently work with individuals experiencing homelessness or severely stressful housing situations
· Provide applicants and tenants with information about other beneficial local assistance programs and community resources
· Maintain property files and compliance documentation
General Duties
· Serve as a primary point of contact for program participants
· Maintain accurate digital and physical records
· Take site photographs and document inspections
· Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, volunteers, and board members
· Represent the Foundation professionally in the community

Qualifications
· Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience
· Knowledge of general home repairs and residential construction preferred
· Experience in property management is beneficial
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and digital documentation
· Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)
· Ability to work independently in a small nonprofit environment
· Knowledge of the rural Louisa community is highly desirable
· Experience working with low-income, elderly, or vulnerable populations preferred
· Patience, compassion, and commitment to community service are essential
