Applications Open for Leadership Louisa Class of 2023

The Louisa Forward Foundation, in partnership with the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce, announces individuals may now apply for Leadership Louisa—a professional development program structured to build leaders and grow community.
Casey Hollins, Leadership Louisa representative, says, “We are seeking participants who are passionate about our community, who are interested in community service, and who represent the diverse businesses in our county,”
To apply, individuals must meet at least one of the following requirements: live in Louisa County, work in Louisa County, or work for businesses serving the Louisa community. The committee seeks representation from a cross-section of the community, including those active in business, education, the arts, religion, government, community-based organizations, and ethnic and minority groups that reflect the community's diversity.
The selection committee will accept applications until November 14, 2022 and choose up to twenty participants to begin the six-month program in January of 2023.
Rebecca Burtram, 2023 program chair and class of 2022 president, says, “Program participants benefit from curriculum that teaches them to lead from a deeper understanding of themselves, others, and the community at large. It broadens your network and provides you with many tools to help you lead in your career and your community.”
The program incorporates a unique combination of relationship-building, learning, problem-solving, and community engagement. Each month, January through June, participants will attend a full-day leadership session with focuses on topics such as, values-based leadership, receiving and giving feedback, effective communications, influence, leading change.
Leadership Louisa is organized and presented by The Louisa Forward Foundation, in partnership with the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce.
