ATW CEO to Present “Power Your Writing with Poetry (no matter what you like to write)”
Louisa, Va – CEO of ATW – All Things Writing, LLC, will be the featured speaker at the next Write In Louisa meeting held at the Louisa Arts Center Purcell Gallery.
Known for her business writing, community journalism and creative writing, the award-winning author and poet will share how poetry can be used to fuel and strengthen writing, regardless of the genre. Gotthardt will read from her accessible published and new work, teach poetic techniques, and lead attendees in writing exercises.
“People often dismiss poetry as an academic exercise or just a way for poets to express themselves,” Gotthardt said. “But writing poetry has practical advantages. Practicing poetic techniques can help all writers think about their approach in different ways and assist in better communications, whether in business or the arts.”
The event will take place from 2 to 3:30 p.m. A $5 donation to Louisa Arts Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, is requested. Register at louisaarts.org/write-in-louisa. For more information, email writeinlouisa@gmail.com.
