Katy Pistole, Founder and Executive Director of Beautiful Brokenness, is an award-winning author, ordained minister, and pastoral counselor. She is also the creator of Equine Assisted Discipleship, a unique form of Equine Assisted Learning that integrates rescued horses in a safe learning environment to help individuals experience the profound journey of rescue, redemption, and intimacy with God.
"The only safe horse is a horse who feels safe," says Katy, highlighting one of the core philosophies behind her approach. Safety, she emphasizes, is not just a primary need for horses but for people as well. This partnership aims to create a space where both horses and humans feel secure, fostering an environment conducive to growth, healing, and soul connection.
Through this collaboration, Beautiful Brokenness Ministries and Clark Equestrian Center will continue to provide Central Virginia's community with opportunities to engage in Equine Assisted Discipleship. The program's focus on safety, understanding, and the deep bond between horse and human is central to its mission of nurturing the heart and soul.
