CVEC Government Affairs Representative Galen Creekmore Appointed to Regional Economic Development Board
(Arrington, VA) Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC) is proud to announce that Galen Creekmore, Government Affairs & Key Account Representative, has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors for the Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development (CVPED). CVPED is a regional organization focused on advancing innovative strategies for regional economic prosperity in Charlottesville, and the Counties of Albemarle, Culpeper, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, and Orange.
Creekmore began his career with CVEC in 2016 and, within a few short years, advanced to the role of Government Affairs & Key Account Representative — a position he has now held for over seven years. “His strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and dedication to serving our members is a testimony to the value he will bring in this CVPED leadership role,” said Melissa Gay, Vice President of Communications and Member Services.
In this role, Creekmore will work alongside leaders from private businesses, educational institutions, and local government to foster job creation and new capital investment in the region. “CVPED’s mission closely aligns with CVEC and Firefly’s, which is to strengthen the region through reliable service, community involvement, and forward-thinking leadership. I’m honored to use my experience in the electric and broadband industries to further improve our local communities,” said Creekmore.
