Final Push for Lake Anna Rescue: Join Us on September 14 for the Lifesavers Challenge Event!
Lake Anna, VA — Lake Anna Rescue, Inc. (LARI), a non-profit volunteer organization, is in the final stretch of its annual fundraiser to raise $150,000. Thanks to the overwhelming support of the community and the efforts of the Lake Anna Rescue Lifesavers Challenge, LARI has surpassed the totals it expected to raise through the Lifesavers Challenge fundraiser. To date, over $70,000 has been raised through the Lifesavers Challenge, which enabled LARI to make the down payment on a new rescue boat. Construction of the new rescue boat will begin with delivery expected by Summer 2025.
“While we've made incredible progress, we still need your help to reach the finish line and ensure the boat is fully paid for and equipped,” explained Troy Dillard, president of LARI. “The Lifesavers Challenge continues to rally volunteers, teams, and community members to contribute to this important life-saving initiative.”
“To celebrate our success and continue raising the remaining funds, we invite the community to join us on September 14 for a day filled with gratitude, celebration, and community spirit at the Lifesavers Challenge event,” said Casey Hollins, Lifesavers Challenge co-chair. “This special day will feature a First Responders Parade followed by the First Responders Appreciation Social, where we honor those who protect our community.”
