Firefly Awarded Three National Communication Awards
Palmyra, Virginia —Firefly Fiber BroadbandSM has been recognized for their outstanding communication work with three national awards.
Building on Firefly’s history of award‑winning entries — including three in 2023 and five in 2024 — we’re thrilled to add two more accolades this year from NRECA’s Spotlight on Excellence program. The Gold award is for recognition of our “You’re Going to Love Us” postcard campaign. The Silver award is for the Best Photo category. The submitted photo, “Cheers to 46 Years,” features retired board member Henry Chiles at Firefly’s 30k celebration held at Carter Mountain Orchard in June 2024.
Firefly also received recognition for our postcard campaign from the Cooperative Communicators Association (CCA) earning a Third-Place award. The campaign targeted homes in the Firefly footprint that had already been served a fiber-to-the-home connection.
