Five Local Titleholders to Compete for Miss Virginia and Miss Virginia’s Teen Titles
LOUISA, VA — The Miss Louisa Organization will send five titleholders to compete in the upcoming Miss Virginia and Miss Virginia’s Teen competitions, taking place at the end of June in Roanoke. These representatives have each earned their titles and have been actively engaged in community-focused initiatives throughout their year of service.
This year’s delegates include:
· Alexia Williams, Miss Louisa County – As the youngest primetime news anchor in Central Virginia, Alexia serves her community daily on CBS19 and Fox 5 in Charlottesville. Her Community Service Initiative, S.T.A.R. (Successful Training of Adult Responsibilities), equips young adults with the tools and life skills they need to thrive independently and confidently.
· Alyssa Julian, Miss Louisa County’s Teen – A rising ninth grader with a heart for healing, Alyssa created Kids on Call, a movement that encourages students across the Commonwealth to write uplifting cards for hospitalized children. To date, she has collected and delivered over 300 handwritten messages to children in need of encouragement.
· Brielle Philippe, Miss Hanover County – One of the only female meteorologists in Virginia, Brielle delivers the forecast to viewers across CBS19 and Fox 5 in Charlottesville. Her initiative, Inspire Her Science, is dedicated to encouraging young girls to pursue careers in STEM, especially in the sciences.
· Angel Fink, Miss Lake Anna – A radiology student and volunteer firefighter from Broadway, Virginia, Angel’s platform, Aid for Our Heroes, focuses on raising awareness and showing gratitude for the brave men and women serving in emergency services.
· Leslie Kaiser, Miss Lake Anna’s Teen – A recent high school graduate who will attend Regent University to study ministry, Leslie leads with compassion through
her platform, Be AWARE, which advocates for mental health awareness, wellness, and access to resources for youth.
Each of these titleholders embodies the mission of the Miss Virginia Opportunity and Miss America Organization, the nation's leading provider of scholarships for young women. The Miss Virginia Organization is awarding nearly $80,000 in cash scholarships at the competition in June. As a local affiliate and nonprofit, the Miss Louisa Organization is proud to also provide scholarships and opportunities that help young women develop into confident leaders, community advocates, and future professionals.
“These young women are stepping onto the Miss Virginia stage with more than a title, they’re stepping forward with vision, voice, and purpose,” said Casey Hollins. “Their dedication to service and personal development sets an incredible example for others to follow.”
