
FREE workshops for rural businesses: retaining employees, workforce productivity, and a quality environment
Virginia Tech’s Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics recently won a grant for ‘Small business health and organizational wellbeing workshops (SHOW)’.
SHOW was developed as part of a research project led by Virginia Tech's Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics titled 'Workplace stressors, conflict resolution, worker productivity: A field experiment on employee wellness training program in rural small businesses.' This project was developed in collaboration with researchers at Purdue University.
They are looking to conduct FREE workshops for rural businesses that often face challenges with retaining employees, workforce productivity, and a quality environment.
The workshop goes over the following:
Workplace communication
Workplace conflict-resolution
Employee well-being
Virginia Tech trainers will come to the business community to train employees.
Who can participate?
Must be a small rural business in Virginia (non-agricultural)
Must have 30 or fewer employees
