Leadership Louisa Announces Opening of 2024 Application Period - Apply by November 17th, 2023
Louisa County, Virginia — The Louisa Forward Foundation, in partnership with the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce and Rappahannock Electric Cooperative, is pleased to announce that the application period for its Leadership Louisa 2024 program is officially open. Aspiring leaders, professionals, and community enthusiasts are invited to apply until November 17th, 2023, for a chance to embark on a transformative leadership journey.
Leadership Louisa builds leaders for a brighter future. The experience is designed to empower individuals with the leadership skills and knowledge necessary to make a positive impact on Louisa County. Participants can expect to gain a deep understanding of leadership, connect with influential leaders across various sectors, and develop strong networks that last a lifetime.
"Leadership Louisa is an opportunity for businesses to foster leadership development in their workplace," states Casey Hollins, Board Chair. "It enhances the skills of their employees and strengthens community connection, ultimately benefiting their organizations and Louisa County."
The program incorporates a unique combination of relationship-building, learning, problem-solving, and community engagement. Each month, January through June, participants will attend a full-day leadership session with focuses on topics such as, values-based leadership, receiving and giving feedback, effective communications, influence, leading change.
Rodney Redd, 2024 Program Chair and Class of 2023 President, shared his own experience, stating, "My journey with Leadership Louisa was exceptional. The program enhanced my leadership development and provided invaluable connections throughout the community."
The selection committee will accept applications until November 17, 2023, and choose up to twenty participants to begin the six-month program in January of 2024.
