Louisa County Chamber Announces 2025 Businessperson of the Year Finalists
LOUISA, VA — The Louisa County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the four finalists for the 2025 Businessperson of the Year award, a recognition that celebrates exceptional leadership, business excellence, and meaningful contributions to the Louisa County community.
This year’s outstanding finalists are:
Mike Kavros – Callie Opie’s Orchard
Lloyd Runnett – Louisa County Resource Council
Julie Smith – Mineral Mercantile
Laura Watts – Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices
These finalists were selected through a confidential and rigorous review process led by a selection committee comprised of past recipients and business leaders. The committee evaluated all eligible nominations based on leadership, innovation, economic impact, community involvement, and professional achievement.
"We received an inspiring slate of nominations, each representing the talent, integrity, and entrepreneurial spirit that define our business community,” said Tracy Hale Clark, Executive Director of the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce. “We congratulate all nominees and are proud to celebrate this year’s four distinguished finalists.”
The winner of the 2025 Businessperson of the Year will be announced live at the Annual Meeting & Businessperson of the Year Celebration on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Spring Creek Golf Club.
