Louisa County Chamber of Commerce Honors Exceptional Achievements with Prestigious Awards

Louisa County, - The Louisa County Chamber of Commerce (LCCC) held its Annual Meeting and Businessperson of the Year Celebration on June 23 at Spring Creek Golf Club. This event brought together its members and leaders for the most significant business networking and recognition opportunity in Louisa.

Annually, the LCCC recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations for their exceptional contributions to the community. These awards, which include Volunteer of the Year, Good Neighbor of the Year and Chamber Partner of the Year, represent the Chamber's appreciation for the dedication, commitment, and positive impact made by the recipients.

The 2023 Volunteer of the Year award was presented to Rebecca Burtram, Marketing & Communications Administrator at Hantzmon Wiebel, and acknowledges her devotion of time and efforts to support the ongoing activities of the LCCC.

As Chair of the Louisa Biz Expo, she revitalized the format of the Expo, which resulted in doubling the number of exhibitors and visibility. As Chair of Leadership Louisa 2023, she played a pivotal role in coordinating the six-month program. In her role with Hantzmon Wiebel, she also contributed to the LCCC in a variety of other ways leaving a lasting impression on members.


“Throughout the past year, Rebecca has demonstrated remarkable contributions, significantly enhancing the effectiveness of our Chamber in supporting our membership,” states Casey Hollins, LCCC Board Secretary. “Her dedication and commitment to our Chamber and community have been truly commendable. We applaud Rebecca for her outstanding achievements and invaluable contributions.”

The Good Neighbor of the Year award was presented to the Fluvanna/Louisa Housing Foundation (FLHF) for their outstanding contributions and the positive impact they have had on countless lives.


In 2022, the FLHF made a substantial impact on income eligible citizens including 115 projects at an average cost of $3400 per home and installed over 150 handicap accessible ramps. They received a $775,000 grant for county assistance, a $300,000 grant for septic and well support, and a donation of 7.289 acres of land in Louisa, which are critical to fulfilling their mission.

for our residents. We commend them for their exceptional impact and extend our gratitude for their invaluable contributions to Louisa County,” said Bo Bundrick, LCCC Board Chair

The Chamber Partner of the Year award was presented to Louisa County Parks, Recreation, and Tourism (LCPRT) for their role as a strategic partner throughout the past year.

LCPRT's strategic partnership with the LCCC has been instrumental in promoting local businesses, fostering community engagement, and elevating the overall appeal of Louisa County. They actively support initiatives including Meet Me on Main, Hometown Holidays, and the Fermentation Farm Trail campaign, designed to encourage residents and visitors to shop and explore the community.

“As partners with the Chamber, they have been invaluable in driving community engagement, supporting local businesses, and attracting visitors to Louisa County,” states Melanie Baker, General Manager Shenandoah Crossing Resort and LCCC board member. “LCPRT plays a vital role in the local economy and have further elevated the appeal of Louisa County as a premier destination.”
