Louisa County Chamber of Commerce Hosts Business Forum: Meet the Candidates October 3, 2023.

Louisa County, VA – The Louisa County Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Louisa Democratic Committee and Louisa Republican Committee, will host a "Business Forum: Meet the Candidates," providing an opportunity for the community to engage with local and state candidates in contested elections. The event will take place at Tuesday, October 3 at the Betty Queen Center from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

The event schedule is as follows:

5:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Registration and Mingle with Candidates

5:30 PM: Welcome and Opening Introductions

7:00 PM: Closing Remarks

The event will feature a random drawing Q&A session to hear the candidates perspective on business and community topics.. Renowned political leader and Moderator, Larry Roberts, Director for the Sorenson Institute for Political Leadership, will guide the proceedings.

Attendance is open to all businesses and individuals within Louisa County. While pre-registration is encouraged, it is not required to participate.

About Moderator Larry Roberts:

Larry Roberts brings a wealth of experience to the event. In addition to his extensive government and political background, he has a successful legal career, with partnerships at renowned international law firms. Mr. Roberts has also demonstrated a commitment to public service and received several accolades for his contributions, including Virginia Law Weekly's "2017 Virginia Leaders in the Law" and Venable's "2017 Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year" award. His government service includes roles as Counselor to Governor Tim Kaine and Chief of Staff to Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax.
