Fully Involved Rescue Education Program Begins September 11, 2025
LOUISA, VA — Louisa County Fire & EMS is excited to announce the return of its F.I.R.E. (Fully Involved Rescue Education) program, beginning Thursday, September 11, 2025. This free 8-week course is designed to give participants a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to be a firefighter or EMT.
Open to individuals ages 16 and up, the F.I.R.E. program offers hands-on experience and educational sessions, including:
Fire & EMS operations overview
Guided tours of fire and EMS vehicles
Certification in First Aid & CPR
Gear and equipment demonstrations
Team-building activities
The full firefighter experience
Whether you're considering a future in emergency services or simply want to learn more about how these professionals serve the community, this program is a great opportunity to get involved.
Classes will be held every Thursday for 8 weeks, and participants will engage with experienced first responders throughout the course.
