Louisa County Invites Residents to Participate in Revenue Priorities Survey

LOUISA, VIRGINIA – Today, the Louisa County Board of Supervisors launched a survey to gather community feedback on how anticipated future revenues associated with large-scale projects can best serve Louisa County residents. The survey is available at louisacounty.gov/RevenueCommitteeSurvey.

The Revenue Committee – comprised of rotating members of the Board of Supervisors – was established to thoughtfully plan for significant business tax revenue anticipated in the County budget beginning before the end of the decade. In June, the Committee presented a “concept framework” for how funds could be prioritized and applied to County initiatives. Since the initial presentation, the Committee has worked to refine the categories and develop the survey to collect community input.

The Committee’s framework is a work-in-progress, not a finished plan. The Board of Supervisors emphasizes the need for community input to shape the direction of revenue use decisions.

Citizens are encouraged to learn more and take the survey at louisacounty.gov/RevenueCommitteeSurvey. Paper copies are available at the Louisa County Office Building (1 Woolfolk Ave, Louisa, VA, 23093).
