Louisa County Resource Council Names Elizabeth Goodwin as New Executive Director

LOUISA, VA — March 30, 2026 — The Board of Directors of Louisa County Resource Council (LCRC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Goodwin as its new Executive Director, effective March 30. Goodwin succeeds Lloyd Runnett, who led the organization for more than a decade.

Goodwin is deeply involved in the Louisa community, and she joins LCRC with extensive experience in program facilitation and communication. Previously, she served in coordinator roles within Louisa County Public Schools, the Blue Ridge Virtual Governor’s School, and Piedmont Virginia Community College.

“We truly are excited to have Liz as LCRC’s new Executive Director and look forward to having her lead us in our service to the community,” said Elizabeth Franklin, LCRC board member.

In this role, Goodwin will oversee day-to-day operations, lead fundraising initiatives, and strengthen community engagement.

"The opportunity to humbly serve the community that raised me is a profound honor," said Goodwin. "The Louisa County Resource Council is a lifeline for so many of our neighbors, and I am eager to build on its incredible foundation. My goal is to ensure that every resident—from our children in the backpack program to our seniors—receives the care, dignity, and essential resources they deserve."
