LOUISA COUNTY TO HOST 1st ANNUAL LOUISA LABOR FEST
LOUISA, VIRGINIA – The County of Louisa’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism department will host its 1st Annual Louisa Labor Fest this Labor Day weekend at Walton Park in Mineral, Virginia. The festival is named for the days leading up to the Labor Day holiday and pays tribute to the history of mining labor in the Town of Mineral.
The festivities will begin on Friday, August 30th with a parade at 6pm. Bailey Hayes will perform at 7pm. A 5K starts bright and early the following morning, Saturday, August 31 at 8AM, and the festival opens at 10AM. The festival will offer craft vendors and attractions for the kids. Afternoon activities include a beer and wine garden as well as a cornhole tournament, and The Swon Brothers take the stage at 7:30PM. The festival continues on Sunday, September 1 beginning at 10AM and includes yoga, a car show and a fitness demo.
