LOUISA FORWARD FOUNDATION LAUNCHES THE LEGACY AUCTION TO SUPPORT THE LOUISA COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Louisa Forward Foundation launched the LEGACY AUCTION online to support the $95,000 capital campaign for the 95th Anniversary of the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce. The auction is one of several fundraising initiatives to support the efforts to pay off the Main Street office and renovate the space,
Fundraising began in June with the 1927 Legacy Circle, currently with 13 members and $25,051 in donations. Any individual, business, or group pledging or contributing $1,927 by Dec. 31, 2022 will be included in the circle. The Chamber Challenge on October 4 held at Cutalong at Lake Anna added an additional $10,000 towards the goal. The 95th Anniversary Celebration on Nov. 5th together with the Legacy Auction is projected to push the total to $50,000 or more.
“We are grateful for the generosity and support for the largest fundraising effort in our 95-year history,” states Tracy Hale Clark, Executive Director Louisa County Chamber of Commerce. “The virtual fundraising platform Betterworld.org has been such a tremendous asset to all our efforts. Setting up an online auction was so easy with great resources to help promote it!”
The Legacy Auction is available to anyone beginning October 31, 2022 and ending on November 5, 2022 at 9 pm. To get place a bid or make a contribution, donors can visit LouisaForward.org.
