LOUISA, VA, [DATE] — The Louisa Forward Foundation, a 501(c)(3) supporting efforts of the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce, was awarded a $5,000 grant by the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation.

“These funds are essential for the Louisa Forward Foundation,” states Bo Bundrick, Board Chair, “to develop our leadership program and acquire the right tools for interactive and effective virtual programming across Louisa County.”

The Louisa Forward Foundation was established in 2020 to support programs of the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce that provide opportunities for organizations to learn, develop partnerships for efficiencies and reach the community. The Foundation is in the process of building a professional virtual platform that will allow for real-time virtual interaction and post-event access, allowing for greater outreach of programming within the community.

Current Chamber programs that will be utilized by the Foundation include the Businesswomen’s Roundtable, Nonprofit Summit, and Highlight Reels. Leadership Louisa, a planned program of the Foundation, will provide a unique opportunity for Louisa residents to learn how county government and the business community works within the county.

“The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation is proud to support the Louisa Forward Foundation in taking the initiative to create a platform for the community promoting leadership and diversity development that will be accessible to all of Louisa County,” notes Hunter Applewhite, Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation President.
