Member Feature: Tri-dim Filter Corporation
Back in 1968, John Stanley started the Tri-Dim Filter Corporation in New Jersey. In the 1970s, when Stanley moved, he brought the business to Louisa County. Tri-Dim experienced a short period of residence in an old textile mill in Mineral before becoming one of the first buildings in Louisa’s industrial park in the 70s.
Though Tri-Dim was bought by Mann + Hummel, a global corporation, about five years ago and has expanded to another manufacturing facility in Richmond in 2020, its roots are as a family-run business that all started with an idea about air filters. Mann + Hummel is a much larger company, but they are a family-owned company as well.
Tri-Dim is a manufacturer of air filters used in heating ventilation and air conditioning systems. They typically sell to commercial and industrial customers and offer services such as the changing of air filters.
Mann + Hummel’s ownership has allowed Tri-Dim to expand their business across North America, including Canada.
Tri-Dim not only employs approximately 200 county residents, the company cares about the Louisa community in everything from sponsoring little league sports teams, supporting Louisa football, and supporting other endeavors in the local school system.
