PVCC Announces Professional Testing and Certification Center
Charlottesville, Va. – April 25, 2025 – Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is expanding its testing services, increasing the opportunity for more community members to come to the college for professional certification exams. The Pearson Vue Testing Center at PVCC, which offers various certification and professional licensure exams, has been renamed the Professional Testing and Certification Center (PTCC) and now offers certification exams through Kryterion, a global leader in online assessment and testing solutions. The PTCC will continue to offer exams through Pearson Vue, such as the GED®, National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality exams.
PVCC also now offers certification exams through Prov, which delivers innovative and accessible exam services for industries including cosmetology and barbering.
“This expansion of testing providers means that PVCC is able to assist more people in Charlottesville and the surrounding areas and can help more individuals reach their goals of a new job or career,” shared PVCC Testing Coordinator Amy Floyd.
