Reclaiming Clio is a sweeping narrative that vividly recounts how feminist historians transformed American history and the historical profession during the Twentieth Century,” Tomás shared. “With vision, hard work, scholarly aplomb, and an intersectional feminist edge, they created an enduring body of historical scholarship that provides an essential foundation for understanding women’s place in societies past and present. More than that, their work inspires us by demonstrating how women and their movements have persisted in the face of reaction and opposition,” Tomás continued.

According to one reviewer, “The book makes a compelling argument for the significance of women’s history in academia and public life.”
