Member-Owners Urged to Participate
Fredericksburg, Va. – Member-owners of Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) will elect three members to the Cooperative’s Board of Directors as part of the virtual Annual Meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 11.
The Director Election process is now open. Starting July 1, member-owners can:
- Complete their Proxy Designation Form online. Member-owners with a valid email on record with REC will receive instructions and access to complete form. In addition, member-owners can log-in to MyREC SmartHub to access the form anytime between July 1 and Aug. 4 at 5 p.m.
- Early in July, member-owners will also receive the Proxy Designation Form by U.S. Mail. Completed forms can be returned in the business reply envelope included.
Completed Proxy Designation Forms must be received by 5 p.m. on Aug. 4, 2021, to be valid.
Member-owners who participate in the 2021 Annual Meeting by designating their proxy will be entered to win one of the following prizes:
- Designate and return your proxy form by July 14 to win 1 of 30 $250 cash prizes.
- Designate and return your proxy form by July 28 to win 1 of 14 $100 cash prizes.
- Designate and return your proxy form by Aug. 4 to win 1 of 10 $50 cash prizes.
All other member-owners who have returned their proxy or register for the meeting but did not win one of the other prizes will be entered to win additional prizes announced during the Annual Meeting. Prizes are:
- $100 cash
- $50 cash
- $25 cash
- $25 cash
If your preference is to participate live in the Virtual Annual Meeting, registration opens at 7 a.m. on Aug. 5 and closes at 5 p.m. on Aug. 6. Only registered members will receive instructions to join the virtual Annual Meeting on Aug. 11 to cast their vote live.
