Region Ten Counseling Center in Louisa
It is an undeniable fact that everyone needs support at some point in their life. Support comes from many places, and in the Louisa community, one of those places is Region Ten Community Services Board. If you are not familiar with Region Ten, it may be that you have not yet needed the services and supports that Region Ten provides to people with mental health, substance use disorders, or intellectual and developmental disabilities. If you do find that you or someone you care about has those needs, Region Ten has been here since 1969, and will continue to be here to assist.
Region Ten serves six localities and is continually seeking to develop warm and inviting spaces where people are welcomed when coming for help. Right now, a new building is under construction on the corner of Elm and McDonald streets in Louisa County, centralizing all of Region Ten’s services in Louisa and providing adequate space to serve area residents through an array of services for children and adults.

Each year, over a thousand people rely on the Louisa Counseling Center. Region Ten works closely with the Department of Human Services, Louisa County Public Schools, Court Services, Louisa Town Police and Sheriff’s office and other organizations and agencies to provide support and services to individuals, families, organizations and community groups.
With the construction of the new Louisa Counseling Center, Region Ten continues to be woven into the fabric of the community, a permanent structure where people who live in Louisa can seek support in times of need and as an integral partner in the continual striving for a strong, thriving community.
Region Ten has been fundraising for the Louisa Counseling Center construction for over a year, and we are anticipating that the building will be complete in the summer of 2025, but there is more to be done to create the welcoming environment.
Your organization can make a difference through joining in the vision of a strong, thriving community through a donation to this project.
