Regional Business Forum Connects Employers to Talent and Workforce Resources

May 18 event at PVCC brings together businesses across Central Virginia

Louisa, VA — Employers across Central Virginia are invited to attend the Business Forum: Connecting Employers to Talent, Education, and Workforce Resources, a collaborative event on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 12:00–3:00 PM at Piedmont Virginia Community College’s Bolick Center, 501 College Drive, Charlottesville.

Led by the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Louisa Forward Foundation, and hosted in collaboration with Piedmont Virginia Community College, the forum is designed to support employers across the PVCC service area including the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson while creating opportunities for regional connection and collaboration.

The event will bring together business owners, HR leaders, and operations managers for a focused program that connects employers directly with education leaders and workforce resource partners supporting hiring, training, and workforce development.

“This forum builds on the strong foundation we established last year and expands it to engage employers and partners across the broader PVCC service area,” said Tracy Hale Clark, Executive Director of the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce. “We are creating a regional opportunity for businesses to connect directly with education, resources and each other to walk away with clear next steps they can put into action.”

The forum includes two panel discussions and a resource fair:

  • Education Panel– Perspectives from regional education leaders on training programs, credential pathways, and opportunities for employer engagement
    • Bo Bundrick, CTE Director, Louisa County Public Schools
    • Dr. Leonda Keniston, VP for Academic Affairs & Workforce Development, Piedmont Virginia Community College
    • Beth Mehring, Earn While You Learn Manager, UVA Health
