VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT
Volunteer Program Focus Areas Survey
Volunteers are critical to meeting Virginia's most pressing needs. Through the Virginia Community Engagement Index (VCEI), we learned that Virginians identified education, health and well-being, and housing as the top needs in their communities.
Now, we're curious to learn more about organizations across the Commonwealth that are engaging volunteers in addressing these and other community needs. By collecting information about the specific needs that organizations and groups address locally, Serve Virginia hopes that we can provide focused resources in the coming year while also helping connect like-minded organizations in Virginia.
Are you affiliated with a program, group, or organization that addresses community needs through volunteer support? We want to hear from you!

Did you know? AmeriCorps funding is way to support your work in addressing tangible needs and delivering direct services. AmeriCorps State applicants design service programs that engage members in meaningful direct service activities to meet critical community needs in specific focus areas, with planning grant awards ranging from $75,000 to $240,000.
A new Request for Applications (RFA) for the 2024-2025 AmeriCorps Program Year will be available beginning September 3, 2024. If you would like to know more about the process or are considering submitting an application, please join us for an optional pre-application webinar:
